What are objective medical findings?
Objective medical findings are findings that can be seen, heard, felt, or measured. This includes swelling, atrophy, loss of range of motion, loss of muscle strength or muscle spasm. As every individual perceives pain differently, pain is considered subjective and therefore the department does not take pain into consideration when determining ability to work, permanent impairment, or entitlement to other benefits.
